Punishment For Council Members

(A man's pride shall bring him low, but honour shall uphold the humble in spirits.Prov. 29:23)

Since Council members are allowed to punish, they have a responsibility, which goes with this privilege to set a good example at all times.

  1. If a Council member is found breaking major school rules or is guilty of abusing authority he/she will immediately be removed from the Council and bi-elections held to replace such person(s).

  2. Council members who inflict corporal punishment on any student will be suspended for 1, 2 or 3 weeks.

  3. To ensure that Council members are responsible when awarding punishments, a student has a right to appeal to the housemother or father in charge of a wing. If he/she has been wrongly punished by a council member. However, if the student loses the appeal, his/her punishment will be doubled.

NOTE
By detention is meant manual labour for one hour(single detention) or two and half hours (double detention) or school day (triple detention)

The manual labour could be, removing cobwebs, washing plates, scrubbing floors, emptying of dustbins, working on the farm or the field etc.

Let us hear the conclusion of the matter; Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether is be good, or whether it be evil. Eccl 12:13-14.
